The story of Chicago’s tiniest triangular house.

The architects at Via Chicago are been renovating an 80-year old, 165 square foot, triangular (!?), former hot dog stand into an incredibly cool new micro-apartment. We post regular updates as construction progresses, while also diving into the design process & recounting the unconventional path we had to follow just to secure a building permit in the first place.

Check out the full design for this tiny house over here on our website.

Work is underway on the #MaplewoodADU - our latest coach house here in Chicago. The rusty-red exterior takes its cues from a brick-clad two-flat at the front of the lot, & is lifted above the alley with an extra-tall exposed concrete foundation.
Via Chicago is growing our team in Panamá 🇵🇦High-rises & hospitality, historic renovations & homes — they're all on our to-do list right now, & we're looking for passionate team members to help make it happen. Visit our web
Introducing Palmer+ ... our next architect-as-developer effort which will see the restoration of a historic two-flat, buildout of a new garden-level rental apartment, & construction of a townhouse-style rear addition that continues the lively arc
