West Town, Chicago

This incredibly unusual building - measuring a diminutive 165 square feet inside - is being reimagined as a chic living space for short-term rentals. The design takes advantage of an existing basement to create a split-level plan with a light-filled living space over a cozy, tranquil bedroom. Divisions are minimized and every inch accounted for.

Construction is currently underway, and should be ready to welcome its first guests in summer 2019. This charming, unique piece of Chicago’s architectural history will become one of the few true “tiny homes” in the Second City.
